The world's deity of fire, death and destruction is dead. You serve one of the world's eight demigods, all who seek to replace him and ascend to godhood.
You're not the only group who serves an ambitious demigod, however. It's a race to see who can consecrate enough of the temple to bestow immortality on their chosen demigod.
