Nowhere City used to be “somewhere’ – “two-bit” for sure, but a place people liked calling home. Then the sorcerers moved in. They took over city politics, but only so they could pursue their deeper, darker agenda. The Gutter Knights rose to stop to the sorcerers - so convinced that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few that they look right past the few bystanders who get caught in the crossfire, every single day. Mercs? They’ll work for whichever side offers the most luxe payday. Yup, this used to be somewhere, but now it’s “Nowhere” - as in: “nowhere-decent-people-want-to-be.”
