Adventures in Ethora: Ensemble Stories in a Ghibli-Like World
Summary:
Using printed cards and player imaginations, our table will create a fantasy world and play as major characters within that world whose stories may tangle, combine, and influence one another.
Description:
In This Echoing World is a storytelling and roleplaying game about an unconventional fantasy world and the various and vibrant characters within it. With these print-and-play cards and your imaginations, each player will spin a separate story of a hero (or villain) living in a fantasy world. Players take turns directing and roleplaying in scenes that focus on their major character. Other players may voice the events, environment, and minor characters in the world around them. Additionally, each major character has a Destiny, a predetermined fate and ending to their story, which will come to pass during the game. Led by the game's designer, Kodi Gonzaga! Build an apocalypse (of the faerie variety) and play characters journeying through it to reach a safe haven. Worldbuilding should take 1 hour and gameplay 3 hours. Classic GM-ed game!
Description:
No one really knows how it happened. All we know is that it did. The world as everyone knew it ended, civilization collapsed and civility along with it, necessities became gold, violence became law, and survivors inherited the earth. Some say there's a haven somewhere out there. A good place, a safe place. A place the apocalypse didn't touch. Hope is a dangerous thing in a dangerous world. It can strip you down to nothing if you aren't careful. But everyone, no matter what, knows survival alone just ain't enough. Hope is what feeds the parts of you food can't touch. Hope is everything. Hope is all anyone has left. You're gonna get to this haven if it kills you. Be careful - it just might. Led by the game's designer, Kodi Gonzaga!
