Highly educated, deeply trained, you still sacrifice everything to pay for oxygen, food, and radiation-reduced living space. Your crushing debt has led to you being convicted of vagrancy or some other crime, and you are sentenced to the surface to recover materials the colonies need to survive.

Want to write for roleplaying games, but uncertain how to get your ideas across with power, conviction, and clarity? This workshop will demonstrate writing with clarity, conciseness, and active voice.
Description:
The most important thing to do with writing is to get across ideas. The less space ideas take up, the more ideas you can get across, or the more space you have for impactful design. This workshop starts you on the road to mastering how to write with three goals in mind: clarity, conciseness, and active voice. Together, these three goals will elevate your voice, create audience understanding, and improve your writing impact.
In this workshop you will be introduced to writing with clarity, conciseness, and active voice. We will define these terms, explain how they are obtained, and then you will practice editing existing work for these three goals. You will learn telltale signs of obfuscation in writing, and how to fix the problem. In the final project, you will bring two pages of your own writing and work with a team to edit that work for clarity, conciseness, and active voice.
We will teach you spell jar lore and help you make and take your own spell jar. You will also take home a grimoire allowing you to expand your knowledge and make more spell jars on your own.

In this short course you will learn enough spell jar lore to get you started in your container magic journey, make and take your own spell jar along with a mini grimoire allowing you to expand your knowledge and make more spell jars on your own. Our mini grimoire contains recipes, component lists, step-by-step instructions, worksheets for while you plan your different spell jars, and a bibliography for further reading into this magical world! Make a spell jar of your choice using provided recipes that you can personalize. Spell jars can be a fun way to express your intentions, setting goals, building confidence and exploring your connections with the surrounding universe. If you have special items to include, please feel free to contact your instructor and discuss bringing them to your session.
