The Addams Family clashes with the seemingly 'normal' family of their daughter's fiance. Will the two families ever get along? Or will it be a feud for the ages? They're scary and they're spooky- You will larp as either a member of the Addams' Family or a member of the fiance's family. No canon Addams' will be appearing as player characters. (ie. you won't be Gomez or Morticia, you'll be original Addamses.) The larp will be played in a series of timed 'episodes' to capture that sitcom feeling. We will use larp calibration and safety techniques.
Costuming encouraged. Please fill out the casting survey you'll recieve in your confirmation email, especially if there are younger larpers with you. This game is open to larpers under 18 with GM approval, please email us.

Participants playing AI will experience learning from the examples of the human with whom they interact. Participants playing humans will workshop a character who has found reason to engage in a focus group for testing a companion AI. This game is thoughtful, introspective, and often emotional. Come with an open mind. Content is likely to include: power in relationships, identity invalidation, emotional dependence, loss and grieving, memory erasure, and sustained one-on-one play. We use larp calibration techniques to ensure consent and communication.

Build dance cards, discover mysteries, negotiate allowances, and slight old rivals. No happy ending ever did come easy. Costuming is strongly encouraged. Dancing will be instructed. Content warnings include period-appropriate sexism, homophobia, and illness; these biases are not tolerated out of game. We will be using larp calibration safety mechanics. L&L is an abridged version of our weekend-long game.

There are three great heroes in the Kingdom of Arkhos. Their fates are bound together, like sticks in a bundle. And those fates will manifest very soon. One will be king. One will be happy. One will die. This much is woven into the skein of destiny, and cannot be changed. But destiny can manifest in many different ways. Humans can pull it one way or another, within the confines of its essential nature, if they wield the right sort of power. That power is called witchcraft. ----- Toil and Trouble tells the story of six people trying to control fate, and to live with it, as best as they can. The conclusion of that tale is up to you.
