More discussions on mental health are happening and wearing away at a history of stigma. However, with a national shortage on mental health providers, individuals are getting less support than needed, and those needs can show up during a session.
Daniel McDowell, MAMFT, CRAADC, occasional contributor to Role Playing Public Radio, has 18 years of experience in mental health and social work, with nine additional years in gaming, would like to invite game night hosts and RPG fans to attend a presentation and follow-up discussion on how to support these needs.
This seminar is intended more for those with a lay person's experience with mental health and not planning to go in depth on discussing diagnostic protocols.
