Discussion class taught by Amy Brehm, national award-winning painter. Aimed at the mini painter who wants to push themselves to the next level, whatever that level is. Covers what judges usually look for in models and how to efficiently paint to a high standard. Please bring examples of your work for critique to better aim you towards painting to a higher standard. Included in this class is a handout for future reference.
Class focuses on how to paint with thin glazes of color. Covers different techniques for miniature preparation, such as underpainting or zenith priming, and the use of paints with varying levels of opacity. Paints, brushes and printed handouts will be provided. Miniatures will also be provided in this hands-on class, but please bring your own miniature or brushes to work with if desired.
