1590, the New World. Governor White returns after seeking help from England to find his colony...gone. No trace of 114 colonists remains. The colonists had been instructed to carve a Maltese cross into a tree should they be forced to relocate by threat. No such cross was found. Governor White did find three letters carved into a single tree: C R O. Carved into the wood on a post, he also found the single word CROATOAN. Now wind back the clock several months. Play as either a colonist, or one of several mysterious figures outside the doomed colony. Can you discover what really happened? Can you stop it? Play will take place in two locations, with player actions determining when, if at all, the two groups meet. Costumes encouraged but not required. A BYOV Tragedy.
