In Scythe, each player represents a fallen leader attempting to restore their honor and lead their faction to power in Eastern Europa. Players conquer territory, enlist new recruits, reap resources, gain villagers, build structures, and activate powerful mechs. Uses a streamlined action-selection mechanism (no rounds or phases) to keep gameplay moving at a brisk pace and reduce downtime between turns. While there is plenty of direct conflict, there is no player elimination, nor can units be killed or destroyed.

Conan of Cimmeria and his allies are escorting two diplomats on a peace mission. Unknown to them, Thot-Amon, Cult Priest of Set, has set a trap to sabotage the negotiations and kill the emissaries!

Peace has returned between the kingdoms of Argos and Stygia where a diplomatic meeting is about to take place in the port of Khemi. But Thot-Amon, the most influential Priest of Set, wants to become the next Great Priest of the Ancient Serpent’s cult and will put all his might into sabotaging the negotiations. Having denounced the Argosseans as spies, he plans on killing them by using his magical powers to resurrect the dead Giant Snake offered as a gift by Stygia to Argos. Players will be put in a small weakened colony of survivors that must overcome the hardships that come with being in a world where most of humanity has become dead or diseased, flesh-craving monsters.
Description:
Players are working together toward one common victory condition, but for each individual player to achieve victory, they must also complete their personal secret objective, which could relate to a psychological tick that's fairly harmless to most others in the colony, a dangerous obsession that could put the main objective at risk, a desire for sabotage of the main mission, or (worst of all) vengeance against the colony! Games could end with all players winning, some winning and some losing, or all players losing. Work toward the group's goal, but don't get walked all over by a troublemaker who's looking out only for their own interests!
