Be one of 4 to 12 secretive lords struggling to control the Eastern Lands amidst treachery, assassination, and revolution. The land is governed by the Shogun, or, if he is not around, by the Priest... unless the Wizard decides to take power. What is going to happen when an Aristocrat hires a Samurai or when a Trader enters an agreement with a Ninja? And beware! If all the Farmers join together, everyone will lose their belongings!

However, the needs of the Senate change from year to year. In OSTIA, players must judge when is the best time to provide goods to the Senate. But, players must also sell goods in order to get the income necessary to obtain more resources. And, the Senate watches to make sure that no one uses more resource types than they should&. Will you be clever enough to become the favorite of the Senate?
