You play the role of a normal everyday cat in a world where ancient and powerful spirits vie for control and try to break into this world. The two-foots (aka humans) that serve you live blissfully unaware of all of this of course. It's your role to make sure the world stays this way and keep the older powers at bay, else it might interrupt your nap time!
