In an alternate, magical Earth, the viking settlers in Vinland have reached an uneasy accommodation with their native neighbors but it has been a long, cold winter and tensions are rising. Many have died from hunger and exposure and to make matters even worse the bodies of the dead have started disappearing.
Suspicion and paranoia are running rampant through both communities. Representatives of both sides have gathered together to solve this problem before violence breaks out.
