Mystery, intrigue and nightmarish horror based on a history of events in the early 17th century leading up to the Thirty Years War in Europe. 1 of 4 rounds but each round can be played standalone.
Long Description:
It is 1610 when some say the Last Days have come, heralded by Kepler's new star in 1604. You have arrived in Heydelberg, bearing a letter from the Imperial Mathematician and the Voynich Manuscript owned by His Imperial Madness, Rudolf II, written in no earthly language. Both are to be delivered to Trithemius, former abbot and noted steganographer, who haunts the famed Bibliotheca Palatina at the Sapienzcolleg, once an Augustinian monastery. It is Candlemas Eve, when the common folk say the Devil is abroad. Are the stars right? Emissaries of the Karolinum in Prague – Lady Jirel, quixotic knight errant; Benedetto, Kabbalist from the Florentine ghetto; Salvatore, Paduan rapier master; Eddard, Alchemist of Oxford; Istvan, Collector for the Emperor's Kunstkammer and Trithemius - can you thwart the devices of the Evil One threatening the world itself? The clockwork is ticking!
