Learn the basics of chainmail design and construction. We will cover different techniques, what can be created with chainmail, and resources for more information. In-depth handouts and rings will be supplied for a hands on workshop to create a bracelet, or other small item in the European 4-in-1 pattern. The boxchain pattern, dicebag and coif (circle) construction will also be covered. Pliers will be supplied for the duration of the class.

We will briefly go over general chainmail techniques and patterns, what can be created with chainmail, and resources for more information. In-depth handouts and rings will be supplied for a hands on workshop to create a chain in the Spiral chain pattern. Pliers will be supplied for the duration of the class.
Paint freehand details with confidence. Basic steps help make freehand details less intimidating to paint. Practice specific types of freehand details--line designs, heraldry, and weathering damage. Last part of the class covers intermediate-level freehand tricks like painting starfields on cloaks and embroidery on clothing. Miniature, paints, brushes, and handouts provided. Please bring your own miniature or brushes to work with if desired.
