Trials for individual-format Grand Prix tournaments award a three-round bye to a future Grand Prix tournament for one or more of the top-finishing competitors. The number of three-round byes awarded will be determined by the number of players in the Trial. Grand Prix Trial byes valid for any Grand Prix prior to September 1, 2012 and do not pass down.

Players receive 1 Intro Pack and Tracking Sheet. Players may not play the same player 2 times in a row. Each match, players record opponent’s name on the results sheet. Each game winner draws 2 cards at random and keeps 1 of those cards. The other card is returned to the prize pool. Each game loser draws 1 card at random. Player that wins the most games during the weekend receives a Foil Card Sheet.
